Thanks.
After 19 years and hundreds of wedding’s it’s time to hang up my cameras and retire from the wonderful world of wedding photography.
I have to start by thanking all of my amazing couples over all these years for trusting me to document their wedding day. It was an honour and a privilege to be invited into your world even if only for a single day.
I’d also like to thank all of the families and friends for inviting me with welcome arms into your homes always making me feel like… well, one of the family. It made what is sometimes a difficult and stressful job so much easier.
The experience of being exposed to so many different traditions and cultures truly changed me for the better and I’m very thankful for it.
I also want to thank everyone I’ve met in this crazy industry but especially my fellow photographers, some of you who have become life long friends.
Thank you to my own family for understanding that I worked weekends and planned things around my weird and unpredictable schedule.
I will be always thankful that this career gave me the opportunity to be the ‘stay at home dad’ during the week and get to spend so much time with my kids as they were growing up. Jack, Emma, Charlie and Tommy… I would trade a million Saturdays of photographing weddings for the Monday to Fridays I got to spend with you guys.
It was all worth it for you.
